The National Park Service says water hauling is supplementing the South Rim’s supply, allowing the restrictions to be rescinded effective immediately.

- The park says the restrictions were first imposed because water resources for fire suppression were limited.

Why it matters: The change removes the additional fire restrictions previously in place on the South Rim.
