NASA Earth Observatory compared Landsat views of farmland near Lubbock in September 2025 and September 2026.

- The later image shows less green vegetation and mostly dry playa lakes, NASA reports.

Why it matters: The images document a visible change in the Lubbock-area landscape between the two dates.
