The UK’s military adviser asked Russia to provide ICRC confirmation for a claim attributed to the humanitarian organization.

- The UK statement also condemned Russian strikes in Ukraine, reporting civilian deaths in several attacks.

Why it matters: The UK said Russia’s account of an ICRC finding was not independently confirmed by the organization.

What’s next: The UK requested that Russia provide the ICRC’s own confirmation.
